Sir, I do not wish to be glib, but does not your own website violate the E-Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002? The DTI's guidance at http://www.bis.gov.uk/files/file14635.pdf clearly states in section 2.16 that the definition of an 'information society service' is not simply a for-profit business but "... also covers services that are not directly remunerated by those who receive them, such as those offering online information ... or providing tools allowing for search, access and retrieval of data." Section 5.2(c) requires that an 'information society service' provides an e-mail address for contact purposes. Hence, the web-based 'contact us' form I have been forced to use would not appear to satisfy this requirement. I am keen to hear your response.
